given 2.3 cc. pci kilo; after chlorination, the product killed 4-Chloro-6-nhexoyl-o-cresol a t 8.6 cc. per kilo. The unchlorinated ortho isomer was lethal for half of the animals a t 4.0 cc. per kilo; after 4-Chloro-6-nhexoyl-m-cresol chlorination the product was slightly less toxic a t 4.5 cc. 2-Chloro-B-nper kilo. For rats, the order of toxicity was similar escepl hexoyl-p-cresol that the unchlorinated para compound was most toxic.
