Easy-to-use data system. The entire spectrometer is operated from one IBM Personal System/2 Model 50 with color graphics. Our ThermoSPEC™ software offers multi-level operation includ ing menu-driven control for nov ices and occasional users, and command mode control for expert spectroscopists.

Flexibility of a sequential 1CP. Correct wavelengths may be identified and con ditions optimized for any element in any sample.

No metal prep with an optional solid sampling accessory. Spark ablation of metals and briquetted powders into the argon stream makes it possible to do "direct reading" measurements without dissolving these materials.

Economy from selec table low argon flow. High flow provides extra sensitivity for low concentrations or difficult samples, but low flow saves argon on routine samples.

Productivity of a poly chromator. Routine samples may be analyzed at rates up to 63 elements/ minute

Vacuum option for Ρ and S detection. Both the mono- and the polychromator can be out fitted for vacuum UV determinations.

Unattended operation. With the microprocessor controlled TfA-iOO"* Autosampler, the PolyScan can do automatic profiling, automatic stan dardization, limit and other quality control checks on all samples in full compliance ivith CLP requirements. An optional autodilutor extends autosampling to oils and other high viscosity samples.
