Over the past year, we have formed strategic alliances to better serve our customers, achieve a truly competitive cost structure and establish clearcut market leadership. • We've established 76% ownership in OxyVinyls LP, a new joint venture with The Geon Company that will make us North America's largest producer of PVC and VCM. • We've contributed our petrochemical assets to Equistar Chemicals, LP thereby securing a steady supply of ethylene feedstock for our own future needs while owning about a third of what is now North America's largest olefins producer. • We've formed a joint venture with Aqua Clear Industries to strengthen our swimming pool and spa chemicals business.
