What's the first thing an ACS member is likely to do when he finds himself "terminated"? Chances are he'll call 800-424-8539, the toll-free "Hot Line" to the Society's Employment Aids Office in Washington. Up to 32 calls have been received in a single day— and they're still coming in at the rate of 8 a day! Each caller is given information about ACS employment aids, advice as to jobs available, hints on effective job hunting, and moral support. This is only one of the extra services made possible through PEP, the Society's Professional Enhancement Program.
