The Ninth Annual Meeting of ASTM Committee E-14 on Mass Spectrometry will he held June 4 to 9, 1961, in Chi cago, Illinois. Topics in mass spec trometry will include fundamental and applied research, as well as instrumen tation and techniques. Abstracts of papers should be sent to: Dr. R. Ε. Fox, Physics Depart ment, Westinghouse Research Labora tories, Pittsburgh 35, Pa. Deadline for Abstracts is February 1, 1961. Other communications should be sent to: Dr. George Crable, Gulf Research Center, P.O. Box 203S, Pittsburgh 30, Pa. The Program Committee is consider ing the possibility of distributing a re port of the forthcoming E-14 Annual Meeting. If this proves feasible, au thors of papers will have the oppor tunity of submitting a manuscript at the time of the meeting. The submis sion of a manuscript will not be man datory for presentation of a paper, and inclusion of a manuscript in the report will not be considered as publication. If a manuscript is not received, only the abstract of the paper will be printed.

T i t r i m e t r i c Methods Symposium A symposium on Titrimetric Meth ods of Analysis sponsored by the An alytical Subject Division of the Chemi cal Institute of Canada will be held May 8-9, at Cornwall, Ontario. Three aspects of titrimetric analysis will be emphasized: complexometric titrations; electrometric titrations; and titrations in nonaqueous solvents. In addition to contributed papers of about 20 minutes duration, shorter papers illustrating specific applications will be welcomed. Anyone wishing to con tribute a paper to this symposium should contact Mr. J. R. McCallum, Courtaulds (Canada) Ltd., Cornwall, Ontario, Canada.
