Regulations Available for Transportation of Explosives The Interstate Commerce Commission h a s revised its regula­ tions covering the transportation of explosives and other danger­ ous articles in freight, express, a n d baggage service. These regulations became effective October 1, 1930. T h e Bureau of Explosives will arrange, as heretofore, to publish them in various forms. The freight tariff, which shows only the regulations per­ taining to freight service, together with shipping container specifications, is n o w available. T h e complete regulations af­ fecting freight, express, and baggage service, together with ship­ ping container specifications, will be published as Β. Ε . Pamphlet 9, which is pocket size. The Clemson College Textile Department will maintain an exhibit at the Southern Textile Show in Greenville, October 20 to 25. Director H. H . Willis extends a cordial invitation t o all chemists, dyers, executives, and other mill men to visit the Clem­ son booth. Among the features of the exhibit will be a large display of rayon and synthetic yarn materials in all stages, from the crude cellulose t o the printed or dyed and finished goods. Also featuring the exhibit will be what is probably the largest and most diversified collection of dyestuffs color cards ever of­ fered for reference in the South. There will be a display of hydrogen-ion concentration deter­ mination, or pH control apparatus of various types. Several attendants will be present to explain and discuss the manipula­ tion and applications of each type of equipment. A n additional exhibit will consist of modern textile materials from all parts of the world.
