Analytical data from Tracor Northern's spectroscopic systems and signal averagers. Low signal data in high noise environ ments is quickly captured by our easy to operate systems. Over 350 signal av eraging installations provide the back ground and expertise for designing our advanced systems.

X-Ray fluorescence systems with unique quantitative capabilities.

NS-880. The most advanced data acquisition system available today. Quantitative data reduction with pushbutton ease. Only the 880 offers it. No spectrum pre-processing (back ground subtraction or smoothing) is necessary. Give the command and the 880 provides comprehensive quan titative data including deconvolution of overlapping peaks, matrix correction — and much more including simultaneous wave d i s p e r s i v e a c q u i s i t i o n and stage automation. Qualitative data is just as comprehen sive. The 880 is the system with a unique built in cursor. Turning a dial im mediately identifies elements in terms of atomic number, chemical symbol, exact energy and data counts at any spectral point. Read out is simplified too. The large, crisp CRT presents data in a highly leg ible, easy to read fashion. The built-in mag tape cassette system makes data and program storage extremely easy. The unique 'flexan' program language provides pushbutton simplicity for com plex, sophisticated routines. For quantitative accuracy, qualitative speed, and ease of operation, NS-880 is the ideal system.

NS-850. A new non-dispersive x-ray tube excited system. Simultaneous analysis for all ele ments beyond Sodium. Little or no preparation for micro to macro sam ples. Totally non-destructive. Just some of the reasons the NS-850 is such an advanced x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy system. Even the sample changer is designed to accommodate busy labs with features like . . . • 10, 20 or 40 sample capacity. • Geneva drive mechanism for precise positioning, with gentle accelera tions for liquid sample counting. • C o m p u t e r or manual c o n t r o l of sample advance (forward or re verse) and secondary target changing. • Digital d i s p l a y of sample being analyzed. • Designed for vacuum operation or Helium flush in low Ζ element analysis. • Optional secondary target or filter se lection wheel for the ultimate in sensitivity. The 850 system is complete with inter facing to the NS-880 data acquisition system.

Signal averagers for increased spectroscopic data. Spectroscopists in fields like NMR, EPR, IR, Mass, Raman, UV, Visible and X-Ray Diffraction find a powerful tool in Tracor Northern's signal averagers.

NS-575A Digital Signal Analyzer. The most advanced fixed program signal averaging system. The 575A is a versatile addition to the spectroscopy lab. 17 plug-in mod ules are available to be sure our sys tem expands with yours. No other fixed program averager can match the stan dard features found in the 575A.

NS-570. A low cost dedicated signal averaging system. State of the art features at a remark ably low price. Built into the unique 570 are a 6.5" oscilloscope, data pro cessor and continuous display. The solid state memory is 1024 or 2048 with 220-1 counts per address. Low cost options include character gener ator display and NMR synchronizer with easy to operate NMR controls.
