USAGE; TO PROTECT EQUIPMENT, STRUCTURAL STEEL, EXTERIOR OF ACID TANKS, FUME HOODS, VENTILATING DUCTS, ETC., FROM CORROSIVE FUMES, CONDENSATES, MOISTURE, SALTS, OR OCCASIONAL SPILLAGE.

W i l l Not Crack, Craze or " W e a t h e r "NotC TYGON P a i n t is p u r e T y g o n ( t h e material used to line tanks in which corrosive acids are made and h a n d l e d ) , liquefied by the addition of solvents. On evaporation of the solvents, a sturdy, durable, highly corrosion-resistant film of chemically p u r e Tygon remains. This tough Tygon film is immune to the attack of most corrosive fumes, resists moisture, salts, oils or greases. Tygon paint films are unaffected by air, sunlight, or other oxidizing elements—show no tendency to crack, craze, check or "weather," even after long exposure. Tygon films are non-flammable, and possess excellent dielectric characteristics. Application is simple: Surfaces should be free from rust, dirt and grease. T h e

proper Tygon primer is applied by spray gun or brush. T h e primer dries to a dust-free coating in 35 to 40 minutes. Tygon top coat can be applied, again by spray g u n or brush, within an hour, though longer drying is preferable. T h e number of Tygon top coats is determined by the severity of attack to which the surface will be exposed. Tygon Paint may be applied t o wood, metal or concrete; may be air dried, or baked. Formulations include black, white, clear, as well as a wide range of colors. W o u l d you like to learn more about Tygon Paint? W r i t e today. Address T h e U. S. Stoneware Company, Akron, Ohio. A NOTE ABOUT ADHESION; Because of its chemical corn-position and structure, its physical and electrical characteristics, Tygon paint requires special primers to bond it effectively to smooth, non-porous surfaces. Because of restrictions on certain essential materials, Tygon primers manufactured between October 1942, and November 1943 did not retain the degree of adhesion secured from our previous primers. However, we are now shipping Tygon primers of improved formulation with adhesion characteristics even superior to those of two years ago.
