FOR THINGS ULTRAVIOLET call on the specialist NEW high intensity 280 nm lamp meas ures proteins. Miniature PENRAY® lamps calibrate photometers in space, sterilize devices in the laboratory. CHROMATO-VUE® darkrooms help diagnose afflicted children, analyze food impurties, help in the fight against cancer. BLAK-RAY® ultra violet meters assure efficiency of germicidal lamps, measure UV dose in mutation studies, establish repro ducibility of UV experiments in photo chemistry and biological sciences. Every day our products solve similar problems. But then, other people's problems are "our thing." That's why we specialize in ultraviolet. THE BROADEST ULTRAVIOLET LINE HAND LAMPS

The instrument is designed for medical ap plications. Model 92 chloride meter costs $750. Corning Glass Works, Medfield, Mass. 02052. 607-962-4444 4 1 1
Automatic elemental analyzer for car bon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen, Carlo Erba Model 1102, features auto matic sample injection for up to 23 samples. After loading the sample magazine, the analyses proceed au tomatically. The instrument uses auto matic combustion through instantane ous flash pyrolysis and a unique oxy gen injection technique. Two separate reactors, one for CHN and a second for 0.,, as well as two chromatographic columns are used in the system. If used with the Model 1110 electronic integrator, peak integration is obtained simultaneously and automatically. The instrument will perform 23 complete analyses in 6 hr. Model 1102 costs $9800. New UV Detector
ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY, VOL. 43, NO. 1, JANUARY 1971
Chromatronix Model 200 UV Photometer combines a linear absorbance range up to 3.0 O.D. with very low noise and d r i f t less than .0004 O.D. Measurements can be made on any of ten absorbance ranges (from .01 O.D. full scale to 5.12 O.D. full scale) or on a single 0 to 100% transmittance scale. Recorder outputs of 1 mv and 10 mv are supplemented by a 0 to 1 ma output, which will drive low-cost gaivanometric recorders. Two interchange able plug-in flow cells are available: an Β-μ\ cell for micro-column analyses and a 32-μΙ cell for monitoring preparative separations, density-gradient centrifugation and electrophoresis.
