Design for the Environment The third ACS National Meeting Symposium on pollution prevention will be a highlight of the Washington, DC, Meeting. The symposium begins Sunday morning and ends Thursday. The program, called DfE: The Environmental Paradigm for the Twenty-first Century, will afford an opportunity for analytical and synthetic chemists, chemical engineers, economists, industrial and environmental scientists, man­ agers, and policy makers to report progress and exchange ideas on the implementation of pollu­ tion prevention as an integral part of our national environmental and economic policies.
