A new category, nonmember individual, recognizes the needs of individuals who may not be ACS members but who need CA-Biochemical Sections for their own personal use. ISA Recommended Practices

Six new Recommended Practices, issued to foster uniformity in instrumentation techniques, terminology, and design, have been published by the

Standards and Practices Department of the Instrument Society of America, Penn-Sheraton Hotel, Pittsburgh 19, Pa. Recommended Practices (RPs), such as the six just issued, are developed by ISA committees staffed with leading authorities who reflect the interests of instrument users, manufacturers, and technical personnel. From inception of an R P until issuance, five years are frequently expended for preparation. To date, ISA has published a total of 33 Recommended Practices. The new RPs, which are available from ISA, are: ISA-RP16.5. Installation, Operation, Maintenance Instructions for Glass Tube Variable Area Meters (Rotameters). (ISA members 75$ ; nonmembers $1.25.) ISA-RP16.6. Methods and Equipment for Calibration of Variable Area Meters (Rotameters). (ISA members 75$; nonmembers $1.25.)
