Analytical instrument data processing: S p e c t r O -

plan, a new data-processing concept from the Varian Instrument Group, offers you improved chemical information immediately, without the effort of manual d a t a reduction. T h a t means you can do more chemistry than ever before, in these typical areas: atomic absorption spectrophotometry, E P R , gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, NMR, UV spectrophotometry. Spectroplan combines the finest of analytical instruments, data processing and Varian quality. You get specially designed, modular interfaces for use with each analytical instrument. You have a choice, ranging from the small data processors to highly sophisticated computer systems. You have a modular plan t h a t allows low cost expansion to m u l t i - i n s t r u m e n t use. Begin with any of your Varian analytical instruments: Aerograph chromatographs, Analytical I n s t r u m e n t N M R , E P R , or mass spectrometers, Gary spectrophotometers or atomic absorption spectrophotometers. To each of these, add a specially designed black box: an economical m o d u l a r interface. Several configurations of varying sophistication are available. pian 4: spectroSystem 400 For laboratories u s i n g a large c o m p u t e r s y s t e m to handle many analytical instruments at one time. (Varian provides modular interfaces on a customized basis.) With all of these you get additional advantages of "software" and service. T h e analytical programs have been developed by Varian analytical instrument specialists. (And where else can you find more knowledgeable personnel in this discipline?) Furthermore, there is single source responsibility for the entire system in Plans 1, 2 and 3. In short, Spectroplan means total analysis. Whatever your Spectroplan needs, a V a r i a n s p e c i a l i s t will h e l p you answer them. Contact Varian Instrument Group, Data Systems, 611 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, California 94303.
