MAT 44: liveGC/MS under keyboard control The all new M A T 4 4 is the first G C / M S system w h i c h incorporates f u l l digital c o n t r o l of all GC and mass spect r o m e t e r f u n c t i o n s . The system is c o n t r o l l e d via a t y p e writer-like k e y b o a r d and a visual display screen provides a c o n t i n u o u s m o n i t o r of results and operating parameters. The microprocessor programs f o r o p e r a t i o n , o p t i m i z a t i o n , and recording of analytical data are stored o n discs. A f t e r i n i t i a t i o n via the keyboard t h e y are executed a u t o m a t i c a l l y . The keyboard dialogue is simple. A n y required program is brought into operation by t y p i n g t w o letters. T h e program steps are displayed o n t h e screen. During t h e analysis, t h e t o t a l ion current and the i m p o r t a n t instrumental parameters are displayed o n t h e visual display screen. Thus, a c o n t i n u o u s real-time display of t h e analytical results is provided. The M A T 4 4 performs q u a n t i -
tative G C / M S in the m u l t i p l e ion selection (MIS) mode. A b s o l u t e concentrations are calculated using internal or external standards and are a u t o m a t i c a l l y recorded. A n y data displayed o n t h e visual display screen can be videotaped and replayed later. The technical features o f t h e M A T 4 4 provide f o r fast, efficient, and easy o p e r a t i o n .
