WALL ST. OF CHEMISTRY.... Canadian Celanese Ltd. dec lured an extra dividend of 25 cents per share on common, in addition to 25 cents per share for the fourth quarter, both payable December 31. A dividend of $1.76 was declared on 7% cumulative participating preferred stock for the fourth quarter. Celanese Corp. of America voted a dividend of 50 cents per share on common, payable December 31, and regular quarterly dividends on preferred: $1.25 on 5% cumulative aeries prior preferred, $1.75 on 7% cumulative, and $1.75 on 7% second preferred, all payable January 1, 1944. Presi-
dent Oreyfus declared that the company has no conversion problem; the facilities now turning out war material can again produce peacetime needs with little or no effect on the present operating schedules. The company has just announced plans for erecting a large chemical plant in Texas and has other plans for expansion. Dow Chemical Co. has declared a dividend of 59 cents a share on new cumulative preferred. Series A, payable January 15, 1944. Pansteel Metallurgical Corp. reports that consolidated net sales increased approximately 132% in the first nine months of 1943
