ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY

5 , COLORADO

Analytical chemistry is Dr. Furman's particular field of research, and he has made several outstanding contributions in development of electrometric techniques in chemical analysis. He has served as a consultant to AEC and was noted for his development during World War II of techniques in sampling and analysis in pure uranium production. In 1937, Dr. Furman was designated the first recipient of the Fisher Award in Analvtical Chemistrv.

X-Ray Conference Scheduled The 9th annual conference on Applications of X-Ray Analysis will be held at the Park Lane Hotel in Denver, Colo., Aug. 10 to 12.
