In opera­ tion tlie lntegraph receives a signal voltage from an outlet on the panel of the Yaricord. The voltage is propor­ tional to the concentration of the com­ ponent being scanned. The electronic circuit, of the lntegraph transforms the voltage into recorded pulses whose fre­ quency is proportional to the voltage and thus to the concentration. The area under the curve is then simply read off the chart by counting the pips between limiting points, yielding an ac­ curate quantitative result, according to the company. P-6
