Man-made materials that were once considered exotic, are finding increasing favor in the minds of today's thought-leading designers. Judy Fell, a Chicago designer, whose most recent work for Amoco was recognized by the Encyclopaedia Britannica, sees the 1 970's as an era of plastics and chemicals in fashion.
'Young consumers know manmade materials have greater design and wearing attributes. And, they are the ones who will have the clothes money in the 1970's.
'Man-made materials will give women a large wardrobe of up-dated classics and current fashions, and freedom to dress to match her mood. Wrinkle-free clothes, like the polyesters that use AMOCO DMT/ΤΑ, will be an absolute must.

Technology will probably make it possible for vinyl bikinis to join the polyester tank suits on the beaches — along with the fun suits of the '20's and the '30's.
