Therefore, it may be concluded that the chlorofluorosilanes apparently undergo extensive thermal disproportionation a t 500”, whereas a t lower temperatures, in the presence of aluminum chloride, no disproportionation was evident.?’ The disproportionation of the chlorofluorogermanes has been reported to take place even at -76”’ and under the conditions of the reactioiis einployed in this work, the existence of these compounds, if formed, would be transitory.
