Gatlinburg Conference Papers Solicited P a p e r s are being solicited b y Oak Ridge National L a b o r a t o r y for pres entation at a combined meeting con sisting of the 4th Conference on Ana lytical Chemistry in Nuclear Reactor Technology and the 1st Conference on Nuclear Reactor Chemistry. T h e two conferences are t o be held a t Gatlin burg, Tenn., Oct, 12 to 14. Tentatively, the analytical chemis t r y conference will devote half-day ses sions to the following topics ; activation and nondestructive methods of analy sis; radiochemical analysis, including applications of t r a c e r s ; continuous analysis of radioactive liquid and gas s t r e a m s ; nonradiochemical methods for
trace analysis of reactor materials; analysis of diverse reactor fuels and fertile materials; and application of analytical chemistry in preparation, evaluation, and use of TJ0 2 -base fuels. T h e reactor chemistry conference tentatively plans half-day sessions on reactor fuel materials; preparation and purification of reactor materials; chemistry of corrosion processes; and effect of radiation on reactor materials. This conference also plans a full-day session on the behavior of fission p r o d ucts in reactor fuels. I n both conferences, discussions of improvements, new concepts, and re search developments are especially sought. I t was pointed out, however, t h a t theoretical or review papers on the pertinent topics will be given care ful consideration. Authors are re-
