can knock it down and clean it up in a fraction of the time. Running a solvent through is all the cleaning needed in some cases. But in many industries, such as pharmaceuticals and food processing, more thorough cleanings are frequently necessary. Fortunately, it's a no-sweat operation to knock down the Pfaudler wiped film evaporator. Drive, top head and rotor assembly lift out as a single unit. During the lift, the wipers act as guides. They keep the rotor clear of the vessel's sides so there's no chance of scoring. By design, the rotor length on the Pfaudler evaporator is shorter than those of other thin-film evaporators of equal capacity. So less headroom is required. And you can forget about removing, cleaning and repacking a bottom bearing. The WFE rotor
operates at speeds as low as 97 rpm, so there is no need for a bottom bearing. Other savings The Pfaudler WFE has the condenser inside. This saves floor space and piping. And, of course, reduces installation costs. In addition it permits operation in the low micron pressure range.
