Can you get isophthalic quality

at lower prices? With new AMOCO Isophthalic Acid-75 you might. Performance properties of isophthalic polyesters are now being obtained in many glass reinforced plastic products at costs lower than IPA-95—and in some instances as low as an equivalent phthalic. Where color is not a factor—such as in boats, automotive and truck bodies, automotive components, handling bins, bowling balls, cast sidings—it is expected that you will get the same advantages as for AMOCO IPA-95. Theseare:greater strength, flexibility, toughness; resistance to impact; resistance to chemicals, solvents, and heat. AMOCO IPA-75 is a mixture of isophthalic acid (70%) and terephthalic acid (30%). It is available at an attractive price because of new manufacturing procedures.
