QO® Furfuryl alcohol resins are important in the field of corrosion resistant construction where concrete, steel, alloys, lead and other construction materials are unsuitable. FA Resins also combine outstanding properties such as: High Tensile Strength • Low Temperature Cure Extreme Density • Heat Resistance • Low Cost Floor installations based on FA chemical-proof cement resist attack by alkalies and acids of all concentrations (alternately if necessary) and solvents. In 24 hours, FA resins develop dense, hard, non-porous mortars with excellent abrasion resistance, adhesion and chemical resistance. Such installations are non-absorbent, easy to clean, inert to grease, oil, chemical spillage, live steam and bacterial attack. These floors are being used successfully in plants producing organic chemicals, textiles, soap, food and dairy products. FA Mortars are ideally suited for use in chemical process equipment such as reactors, filters, towers, neutralizing tanks, stack and fume ducts as well as pump foundations and pickling tanks for steel.
