SINGLE AND MULTI-POINT p H INDICATORS, RECORDERS AND CONTROLLERS. The Pennsylvania Direct Reading Balance—an indicating balance with an accuracy of 1 gram, a total capacity of 5 0 0 0 grams or 11 pounds, and a chart with graduations in both metric and avoirdupois systems. This balance is fast and particularly useful for routine weighing. An adjustable hydraulic damper brings the hairline indicator to rest in three to four seconds, and the sliding poise weight on the beam pro vides additional capacity which can be used as a tare for empty scoops, bottles, boxes, etc. The pendulum type mechanism has no springs. Rugged construction of all load receiving parts, and the agate bear ings with hardened tool steel pivots, provide high accuracy and long, trouble-free service. This balance Is finished in corrosion resistant white enamel and the platform is stainless s t e e l — 9 x o î / i " ^ a m p l y large for most requirements. The tare beam, poise and other external parts are chromium plated. A bull's eye spirit level and four adjustable feet assure positive leveling. Overall dimensions are 21 Vz" high, 2 4 " long and 1 1 " wide.
