Houdry's chemical plants are GROWING Polyurethane foam catalysts. DABCO® ( triethylenediamine ) and DABCO 33-LV (low-vis cosity triethylenediamine-dipropylene glycol solution) are un surpassed for production of uniform, odorless, completelystable polyurethane fpams. A specially-formulated lower-cost catalyst for rigid foams, DABCO R-8020, is also available. DABCO catalysts are used by virtually all polyurethane foam producers, throughout the world. Oxo Alcohols, Heptenes and Non enes. Houdry Iso-octyl and isodecyl alcohols are 99% pure by weight in hydroxyl value; used in making plasticizers, synthetic lubes and esters. Houdry hep 14

tenes and nonenes are close-cut, narrow-boiling olefins. Applica tions: feedstocks for production of iso-octyl and iso-decyl alco hols, manufacture of detergents, emulsifiers, wetting agents, lubri cating oil additives. Imidazoles, Crude Amine Distillates and Residues. Houdry's 2-methyl imidazole and 2-ethyl-4-methyl imidazole have less odor and lower toxicity than tertiary amines, when used as catalysts and curing agents for urethane and epoxy systems; are also use ful in manufacture of anti-patho genic compounds, in peptide synthesis and esterification, in acrylonitrile copolymers, textile dyeing and bleaching systems,

and agricultural chemicals. Houdry crude amine residues and distillates are low-cost mix tures of alkyl piperazines and pyrazines. Applications include manufacture of corrosion inhibi tors, asphalt additives, surfac tants, neutralizers and reactive diluents for epoxies. Write to Chemical Sales Dept.
