Midland, Michigan is ready for more chemical businesses. At least, Dow thinks so. Since 1897, The Dow Chemical Company has maintained its global corporate headquarters and Michigan Operations manufacturing site in Midland–a small city with big expertise in the chemical industry. One of Dow’s newest ventures is turning residential roof shingles and other building materials into solar energy collectors. Building-Integrated Photovoltaics is the science of the future, and it’s being researched and developed right here in Dow’s home town. Midland County (pop. 83,000) is bursting at the seams with scientists and engineers, specialized training programs in chemical processing, and suppliers (from construction companies to financial institutions) who understand and service the unique needs of the chemical industry. These are all reasons why Dow welcomes new industry investment in the area: Midland is an ideal location for a company in the chemical business, something one of the world’s largest chemical companies has known for 111 years.

The Dow Chemical Company. 111 years redefining the industr y right here in M i d l a n d .

Wherever in the world you compete, Michigan can give you the Upper Hand.
