You could say that Nucerite is a supertough Glasteel. Why just accessories of Nucerite? Our experience in servicing Glasteel reactors indicates that the agitator and baffle are the primary causes of shutdowns. These components plus the manhole and agitator-access covers are those most frequently subjected to

mechanical abuse. Thus mechanically strong Nucerite was the logical answer to longer service life for these critical parts. Since its introduction four years ago, Nucerite has proven its toughness in hundreds of chemical processing conditions. Because it is a ceramic metal rather than a glassed metal, it can and does take much more mechanical abuse. Take a closer look at the baffle. It is an entirely new design —a unique " D " style made of Nucerite. This geometric shape divides the flow pattern into several streams, creating a high degree of turbulence behind the baffle, it produces a powerful top-to-bottom turnover. And the power it absorbs equals that of two conventional finger baffles. The ceramic-metal construction adds important strength to the restricted-tip thermowell and improves heat transfer.
