We started changing the way the world uses rubber when we began as the U.S. Rubber Company in 1892. As Uniroyal Chemical, we started producing Royalene® EPDM in 1964. And now, as a part of Crompton Corporation, we're able to use even more worldwide resources to back our polymers. We draw on the chemistries and technical talents of our sister divisions, OSi Specialties, Witco and Davis-Standard to bring you even better solutions. Even with one of the broadest lines of EPDM, Crompton continually enhances our product offering. We introduced several new grades this year and more are planned for 2003. When a single traditional EPDM polymer will not meet your needs, our next generation RoyalEdge® EPDM with controlled compositional distribution is capable of meeting the most diverse property requirements. If your application needs to operate at extreme temperatures, Royaltherm® EPDM, a silicone-modified EPDM high-performance elastomer will excel. The marketplace continues to become more demanding. Crompton is committed to meeting the challenge by supplying excellent products while improving efficiencies, all without sacrificing quality or safety. And, Crompton is in it for the long run with the best customer-focused technical service in the industry. Royalene EPDM is manufactured to the highest safety and quality standards at Uniroyal Chemical's Geismar, LA plant. These polymers are manufactured in one of the largest EPDM plants in the world having three dedicated operating lines. This plant recently received OSHA's highest designation, that of Star Facility, which has been awarded to only 1 out of 10,000 plants in the U.S.
