resins can add to the

efficiency of cobalt a n d nickel recovery processes. Normally, salts of these metals are precipitated chemically from the p r i m a r y leach liquor and then filtered. Precipitation, however, is always incomplete, and has resulted in the past in thousands of dollars in lnetal L>eing poured clown the drain. Now, by using A.MBERJ-ITE resins, virtually all of the unprecipitated cobalt a n d nickel salts can be readily extracted from t h e filtrate. This is only one of trie m a n y process improvements made possible b y Roiim & Haas ion exchange resins. These resins aire currently being used in water conditioning, metals recovery, pharmaceutical production, sugar refining, chemical processing,

decontamination of radioactive wastes, and in many other applications. For more detailed information on ion exchange technology, write for "Amberlite I o n Exchange Resins", today.
