URETHANES An expanding market. We're expanding with it. World demand for urethane foam, coatings and elastomers is growing at an average rate of 11% a year. From our own basic chemicals and intermediates, we make toluene diisocyanate (TDI), polyether polyols, foam systems, finished foam products and flame retardants* In fact, we're the only company in the country that makes all these products. Now we're adding 50 million pounds of polyol capacity. We've started up two plants totalling 45 million pounds of Thermolin flame retardants and more TDI is on the way.
