SDP Revolutionizes Submicron Particle Analysis Submicron size distribution in just minutes The COULTER® Model N4 Analyzer, which is known for its ability to accurately analyze submicron particles down to 30 angstroms in diameter, now incorporates its new Size Distribution Processor (SDP) to allow differentiations of bior tri-modal size distributions. More precise than a reported average size or fitted distribu tion, the new SDP option gives a full graphic display of cumulative and differential histograms of light-scatter intensity, weight percent and number fraction vs. size (nm diameter) and statistics.

ensuring correct results the first time, a built-in display screen and "user-friendly" software. In addition to size distri butions, tabular listings over a molecular range of 103 to 1014 Daltons are reported. Results of all analyses and measure ments are ready in minutes.

The SDP option allows for the usual easy operation by using simple function keys, and the unique auto-ranging feature

New Sophisticated Fiber-Optic Multi-angle Light Scatter On the N4 Analyzer Because different angles of light scatter provide more and different informa tion in fine particle sizing, the COULTER Model N4 has a new option that responds directly to this need. The multi-angle option uses sophisticated fiber-optic linkages to a photomultiplier tube to deliver seven different detection angles. And it does this

easily and automatically via keyboard control. Simply press a key to rapidly select a specific individual angle or a sequence of angles for analysis. The exact angle is automatically calcu lated through knowledge of the refrac tive index. All angles are relative to the incidence beam, with 0° angle being used for precise alignment. In addition to the usual applications, this new optical device permits you to cre ate accurate Zimm plots and to derive measurements of concentration for your sample.

Microprocessorcontrolled particle analysis in the 0 . 4 - 1 2 0 0 μη\ range Utilizing a dual-threshold system, the COULTER COUNTER® Model ZM brings you counting and particle sizing with the most dynamic aper ture range in Coulter history. Em ploying the latest microprocessor and volumetric sensing technology, you receive speed and accuracy for research and quality control. With the optional 100-channel high resolu tion CHANNELYZER® C-1000 System, size distribution analyses can be obtained in seconds. Analyses can be expanded to 1000-channel resolu tion. This data may be transmitted to the XY Recorder for plotting or to the COULTER AccuComp® Data Analysis System for comprehensive statistical analysis and data management.
