This new high tonnage oxygen plant is the largest air separation plant using gas turbines to drive its main compressors. It was designed and constructed for the Bayou Oxygen Company by Hydrocarbon Research, Inc., Subsidiary of Dynalectron Corp. The plant features the largest integral dual-purpose cryogenic fraction· ating tower in the U.S. and produces 800 tons per day of 98% pure vapor oxygen and 600 tons per day of pure nitrogen.
