ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company's Corporate Strategic Research Laboratory has a position for a Chemist or Materials Scientist with a background in organic chemistry and molecular modeling. The individual will be responsible for planning and carrying out research on the design and synthesis of organic structure directing agents for the discovery of new inorganic porous materials. Targeted materials will have broad application in refining, separations, chemicals and new business areas. Molecular modeling will be used to improve the fundamental understanding of porous material synthesis. Faculty of Arts and Science The Department of Chemistry and the Molecular Design Institute at New York University is seeking applications for the position of Supervisor, X-ray Crystallography Facility. The supervisor will be responsible for solving small molecule X-ray crystal structures for internal and external clients, maintaining and operating facility equipment, training prospective hands-on users, teaching an X-ray diffraction course, and assisting in the laboratory management of the Molecular Design Institute. The Program supports the President's Hydrogen Fuel Initiative, which aims to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil and to decrease criteria and greenhouse gas emissions by accelerating the development of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies for light-duty vehicles. The Team Leader will function as the Program's technical expert in hydrogen production; interface with DOE's Offices of Science, Nuclear Energy, and Fossil Energy; monitor and leverage national and international partnerships; and provide input in developing DOE's directions in national policy and programs. This programme is also to be developed in liaison with the engineering faculties of the Technical University (TU) of Braunschweig.
