The Du Pont Co. Instrument Prod­ ucts Division has reported the start­ up of its new multimillion dollar plant located on a 20-acre site in the Janesboro Industrial Park, Ark. The new plant produces the chemical reagent test packs that are used with the com­ pany's automatic clinical analyzer (aca), a sophisticated medical instru­ ment used to analyze blood serum and other body fluids. LFE Corp. (1601 Trapelo Rd., Waltham, Mass. 02154) has appointed Metron Central (Keystone Park, Suite 1021, 13771 N. Central Express­ way, Dallas, Tex. 75231) as its exclu­ sive sales representative in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. LFE manufactures low-temperature ashers used in separation and high-percent­ age recovery of inorganic trace ele­ ments from organic matrices of food, biological, or pharmaceutical samples prior to spectrochemical analyses. Τ & Τ Technology, Inc. (McFarland, Wis.), a clinical laboratory computer company, has reached an agreement with Spectra Medical Systems, Inc. (1121 San Antonio Rd., Palo Alto, Calif. 94303), developers of medical information systems, to offer a joint total system product in which Τ & T's LDM 7000 series laboratory data in­ formation system will become an inte­ gral part of the Spectra-2000 Medical Information System (MIS). WARF Institute, Inc. (3301 Kinsman Blvd., Madison, Wis. 53701), one of the nation's major laboratories spe­ cializing in nutritionally and biologi­ cally related testing and evaluation services for manufacturers, food pro­ cessors, educational institutions, and government agencies, has formed a special client service group. Supported by a technical core consolidated into nine production departments (medi­ cal, pesticide evaluation, toxicology, pesticide residue, chemistry, nutri­ tional bioassay, elemental chemistry, nutritional adjuncts, and special project), the new group provides cen­ tralized contact and service functions for the institute's 3000 clients.
