Gut desiccant costs up to 75% Davison silica gel and competitive desiccants have been tested drying natural gas, cracked refinery gas, etc., unit for unit under comparable conditions. Operators conduct ing these tests found that the silica gel had a service life up to four times as long as the others. By increasing service life from one year to more than four years in some cases, desiccant and downtime costs were drasti cally reduced. While most other desiccants are silica alumina combinations, Davison silica gel is 99.7+% pure Si02. Where others tend to act as

catalysts under the conditions of regen· eration, silica gel promotes little or no coke formation. The pores stay clean, and side reactions are all but eliminated. In addition, it takes fewer pounds of silica gel to fill a given bed, fewer BTU's per pound to regen erate. Adsorption cycles are longer, capacity is greater, and pressure drop is low. Davison silica gel comes in many grades to solve thousands of drying, manufacturing, packaging problems. If you have such a prob lem, call us collect in Balti more at 727-3900 (Area code 301) or write Dept. 1711.
