Introducing VISTA 401 the world's most useful chromatography data and automation system
The Varian VISTA 401 is the most useful chromatography data and automation system you can buy. It will provide sophisticated data handling and full automatic control for up to four VISTA GC's and/or LC's in any combination. Or you can use VISTA 401 to automatically handle the data from any four GC's or LC's already in your lab. It will also control two AutoSamplers and it has a standard interface to large and small computers. No matter what data handling or automation capability you need for gas or liquid chromatography, you can structure a system around the VISTA 401 that will meet your needs. VISTA 401 is friendly and easy to work with. When you build an analytical method, the prompted dialog you have with the big interactive CRT is so relaxed and helpful it's almost human. VISTA 401 even has a "learn" mode in which it scans a chromatogram and automatically selects the best peak measurement parameters for each peak. The fast, dual-channel printer/plotter gives you a fully annotated chromatogram and report, both with compound names.
Floppy disks provide extra capabilities. In addition to its big RAM memory, the VISTA 401 has a built-in floppy disk that provides convenient on-line data storage with fast random access. You can store, directly on disk, all the raw data for an entire chromatogram for recalculation, reediting or even replotting later alongside another chromatogram. Area slice data can be stored for special calculations and methods and results can be stored for future use and reference. You get better data. In addition to performing all the standard calculations, the VISTA 401 has many features that help you get the best possible data including the unique ability to correct for baseline drift and method linking to calculate and report analysis results in many different units of measure: ppb, mole%, BTU's etc. The 401 is so helpful, it will actually draw the computed baseline on the chromatogram to confirm the accuracy of your data. The new Varian VISTA 54 is a powerful microcomputer-CRT-based liquid chromatography system that simplifies LC automation. VISTA 54 combines all the proven, reliable LC capabilities of the successful Varian 5000 Series with printer/plotter and the fourchannel data handling and automation power of the VISTA 401. It has a big memory to hold methods, on-line floppy disk storage, built-in AutoSampler control, and a fast dual-channel printer/plotter that gives you the analysis report with analysis parameters, cal culation results and a fully annotated chromatograrn on one peice of paper. The printer/plotter gives you the unique ability to plot two chromatograms side by side to compare a sample with a standard or to plot and calculate the response of two different detectors.
