DuPont Instruments solve tough measurement problems.

The DuPont digital GC/MS switches instantly from El to CI for single-run efficiency.

When difficult identification jobs call for supplementing e l e c t r o n ionization with chemical ionization, the Du P o n t g a s c h r o m a t o g r a p h / m a s s spectrometer lets y o u c h a n g e m o d e s at t h e touch of a button without sensitivity loss. Time-consuming duplicate runs are eliminated by t h e ability to obtain fragm e n t ion a n d / o r m o l e c u l a r weight information on the s a m e i n s t r u m e n t , in s o m e cases on the same GC peak. This is particularly advant a g e o u s in a n a l y z i n g m a n y

under electron ionization. Instant switching to CI solves the problem.

The Du Pont GC/MS also e n a b l e s you t o select any of three reagent g a s e s instantly. The gas enters the source directly without passing through the column. Other features include the proven magnetic analyzer and digitally programmable accelerating voltage scan, and the wide dy namic range when combined with t h e Du P o n t 3 2 0 Data S y s t e m . This r a n g e e n a b l e s the detection of small traces even in the presence of larger c o m p o n e n t s . Other capa bilities include multiple s p e cific i o n d e t e c t i o n , d i r e c t introduction probe and capil lary GC inlet system. If you have a n analysis problem that may be solved by m a s s s p e c t r o m e t r y , we'll b e h a p p y t o c o n s u l t with y o u without charge. 9 8 0 D M A tests polymer physicals four times faster than similar instruments. The Du Pont 980 Dynam ic Mechanical Analyzer deter mines mechanical properties of materials at least four times as fast a s any similar instru ment, a n d also s l a s h e s data reduction time. Figures 1 and 2 show the qualitative c o m p a r i s o n s of m o d u l u s a n d d a m p i n g for unreinforced a n d reinforced nylon as obtained with the 980 DMA. Note that the DMA was programmed at 5°C per min ute through the temperature range - 1 5 0 ° C to 250°C, and that each analysis was com pleted in 8 0 m i n u t e s while other techniques m a y take as much as 8 hours.

Many features make the DuPont 8 3 4 the best selling LC Automatic Sampler.
